 Longhorns pull out another one!
« Result #2 on Nov 13, 2004, 4:14pm »

Wow, the cardiac Texas Longhorns. Last week they come back from a 35-7 first half deficit to win 56-35 and this week they come from behind 23-13 with 7 minutes left and when 27-23!

How disrespectful can the press get?
« Result #3 on Nov 12, 2004, 5:56pm »

http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/a....Bush's%20Poodle

Why in the hell would someone ask this question to a Prime Minister or President? That is utterly uncalled for. What kind of response are they looking to get with this? All the press does, when they ask a question like this, is look for a reason to repeat what others have said. It's basically a way for the press to make a statement and still pretend to be unbiased. We can see through it.

 Scott Peterson guilty!`
« Result #4 on Nov 12, 2004, 5:25pm »

Thank goodness, this guy is a scum bag. What is it with guys like this. Let's say nothing about how immoral and horrible he was for cheating on his wife....his PREGNANT wife, but:

1. Not only was he cheating on her, he was cheating on her with trailer trash. My goodness what was he thinking.

2. Then he murders her and his unborn baby. This man deserves the worst that our judicial system has to offer. I don't wish him to be put to death. I wish him to receive a life sentence in the worst prison possible and I wish him to have the biggest, meanest, and most homosexual roommate in prison that is possible.

 Economy is doing great!
« Result #5 on Nov 12, 2004, 7:58am »

Has any else noticed that since the election, the economy has really begun to pick up steam? Oil prices are much lower (here in the Austin Texas area, almost by 10 cents per gallon), jobs are being created which is, in turn, bringing out the unemployed to look for jobs.

This is going to be a great year. If we have extensions of the tax cuts and possibly new tax cuts, our economy will rival some of the best economic times of the last century.

This is an interestin situation. I heard some talk that the Bush administration is going to send a low level official to the funeral. I'm a little up in the air on how they should handle it.

On one hand, you don't want to send a high level official because of obvious security reasons and for the fact that the Bush administration has been very vocal about the fact that Arafat was a roadblock to peace.

On the other hand, maybe it would send a signal to those in the middle east who aren't terrorists, that we just want what is best for all parties and we actually do want peace in the region. I, in some way, think it might be a good idea to send something worthwhile and then behind the scenes we would be able to yield more power.

Yeah, it's disgusting. I'm not sure what a good solution is though. Are there any lawyers around who could shed some light on this for us?
